Recieved a prize in Pixiv High School Illustration Contest 2021.
Theme: Dance
Title: Isolation
This was one of the work I spent the most time on. I challenged myself trying to make the work really detailed and sparkly as this was one of the biggest Art competition for high school students in Japan. As I wanted to create a sense of spontaneity in this work, I worked really hard on the lighting and the movement of the wind. I found creating sense of depth in this work challenging. I added too much details which made me hesitate to make some areas darker as it will hide all the hard works I’ve putted in. If I was to edit this work now, I would try making more negative space because the work looks too overloaded with information.
