I made a start on cleaning up the body this week. However, I had to work back a little to last week’s project. This is due to the issue faced in the frame rate. Following the tutorial posted on Canvas, I was taught to adjust the frame rate to 23.9 before baking on motion builder. However, I found out that it must be set to 24fps, and therefore, I went back to fix this problem before starting on this week’s criteria.
I mainly focused on fixing the popped knees and the feeyt for this week.
Fixing the knees was very straight forward. I just had to create a new animation layer on maya and key frame the knees IK control so the knee is facing the right direction.
When it came to fixing the feet, I started off with getting rid of bunch of key frames to prevent the feet from shaking while it stands still.
Then I adjusted the location of the hip and the feet controls on a new animation layer so the feet dont slide underground. I found this part very difficult as when I adjust the hip, the feet becomes uneven, and same applies to other way around.
I also realised that my hand is clipping in small section of the sequence. I will be fixing this next week by removing unnecessary key frames that is causing this wrist twist.
